Richard Caldwell is one of the very best cowboys teaching others about the Vaquero style of training horses and handling cattle. He is also an expert on tack equipment and has several very interesting DVDs about that subject.
Richard is one of the toughest and most talented cowboys I know and has a long list of credentials including the 2006 NRCHA Champion Snaffle Bit, Futurity NP Finalist, Californios Hackamore Champion. And you should know he’s one of the nicest, unassuming cowboys around.
He and wife Nancy live in Alturas, California and his clinics focus on helping the rider make transitions from snaffle bit to hackamore, hackamore to 2-rein, 2-rein to straight up in the bridle. Highly recommended!
